Location is the best. We walked everywhere! Terrace in our room was great. But it needs updating. We loved the rooftop terrace. The front morning reception staff were excellent.

Location is a mixed bag-much too congested for a leisurely neighborhood stroll and it's not a great restaurant location. But it is exceptionally convenient to the metro (basically right outside the front door) and, best of all, it's 1-minute walk to the airport bus stop. The hotel is immaculate and the room was very comfortable. Great shower. Very quiet (a big plus in Barcelona given the street noise). Breakfast was excellent.

Barcelona is just to overpriced and too crowded.
Barcelona is just to overpriced and too crowded. Not worth the hassle, it's just a spot to go to check off from your bucket list, but don't bother staying here to long. Head to other cities in Spain (Madrid, Seville), which are way better and safer. We witnessed both pickpocketing and an attempt to steal someone's phone from a selfie stick in the city center. No police in sight, so the best thing to do is just avoid Barcelona altogether. Go somewhere else, as the Catalan locals themselves don't even want you visiting there.

It's a beautiful city, full of interesting architecture and great food. Unfortunately, it became victim of its beauty. If you plan to go, try in off season.
I am Australian so beach was not my major interest, I have plenty of beaches close to me, but if you want to spend time on the beach soaking sun - i suggest find a less busy town.
My favorites were the usual: La Sagrada Familia, Casa Battlo, Casa Mila.
The Hospital Sant Pau - absolutely amazing a must see and actually not too many tourists.
Eating - try in the less frequented area. On the main beat food is bad and expensive. I tried in the Boqueria market, where on my first visit in 2012 was very good for eating local specialities like jamon and seafood, but this time my experience was really bad. Avoid or perhaps get advice from some locals.

There is a lot to see, and three days was not really enough to do it justice (although it was enough for us, this time). It is a very popular holiday destination and the numbers of other visitors can be frustrating. Some of the top attractions get very booked up so it needs a bit of planning if you want to see these (for example, the cathedral 'Sagrada Familia' is booked for weeks in advance; we were unable to get inside this, or into the Park Güell). It is also quite a large city - you will need to use public transport, so getting used to this is a good move. Luckily this is easy to access, especially the tube.

I I really enjoyed Barcelona the beautiful architecture the culture and the food. However as we were leaving with all our luggage in the taxi my daughter was robbed of all her personal belongings, passport, credit cards, money, driver's license, as one can imagine she was distraught. We were standing by the taxi when she was suddenly covered with drops of a white substance, a pleasant well-dressed young man appeared saying how sorry she had been covered by bird poop, he started to help her clean off the so-called poop. I was also helping her as he gave us wet wipes..... anyway the next we knew he had stolen her wrap around purse and was running away very fast. We could not leave the country and had to wait till the US consulate opened three days later. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay at the Tembo Hotel who were very kind and treated us very well, they were amazingly kind, considerate and accommodating as they knew about the theft. Yes Barcelona is wonderful but please beware it is very very dangerous, it seems there are many thefts daily as we learned at the police department and the US consulate.

Fantastic hotel! The room was comfortable and spacious with plenty of room and quite comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet selection was great. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the city center and a few steps fron Universitat metro station. The staff was very firendly and the view from toproof terrace - amazing! All in all, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend Jazz Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Barcelona.
The hotel is very well located. In the city center, close to the main streets. The staff is amazing. Francesco and his colleague (sry I don’t know her name) were super friendly and helpful. We had access to a parking place close to the hotel which is a must considering how difficult it is to park in the center of Barcelona. All in all very good experience in this hotel
The location from this hotel is the best. It was just a short 4 minute walk to the main square and Las Ramblas. Right below the hotel is quite lively and there are many restaurants to choose from. The nearest metro is at cituadella square and that is where the airport bus stop is at. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Barcelona.
The hotel reception staff were very helpful from the moment we arrived during the power outage across Spain for our last night in Barcelona before our flights home. The room itself was small but very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel had power which was very welcome given the general situation across Barcelona.
Hotel is in a really nice and quite block, and not far away from city center. The room is big, clean and comfirtable, with very well organized every day by hotel stuff. We will absolutly choose this hotel next time in Barcelona!
